Welcome to the Southeast Region of
Las Amigas, Incorporated

Las Amigas, Inc., a national organization of women, was founded in 1957 by  Mrs. Dora R. Mason and Mrs. Mary Q. Moore. The charter  chapter of twelve members was organized on February 5, 1957 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Within a decade, there were seven chapters and in 1966 Las Amigas became incorporated. The organization has since grown to include 26 chapters across the United States.

The initial vision of the co-founders was a network of professional women working together to enhance, enrich, and improve the lives of citizens from all walks of life. They visualized members enhancing the quality of life and promoting the general improvements of their community, encouraging personal and professional growth, and fostering a close relationship among the sisterhood. The shared values of the organization are integrity, respect, honesty, good citizenship, service, teamwork,  and commitment.

Fifty years and several thousand community service projects later, Las Amigas, Incorporated. has been thrust into the 21st century by becoming a part of the information highway. Today, this vision continues to unfold as chapters in the states of Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, DC, our nation's capitol, reach out to help others.
